The Warli

 

The Warli live in traditional villages scattered in the countryside around the town of Dahanu in Thane District.

They have their own beliefs mode of life and custom.

They are animists, but willingly assimilate traditions and Hindu deities. An ancestral ritual art which are similar to those made 500-10000 BC. AD .. in the caves of Bhimbetka in Madhya Pradesh.
